Top Destination
Vietnam

Vietnam is one of Southeast Asia’s most beautiful countries, attracting travellers to its lush mountains, bustling cities and golden sand beaches.

LANGUAGE

Many Vietnamese speak English and are eager to practice so initiate conversation. A wry sense of humour is common, and you’ll often find yourself in an exchange of amusing banter. They love to share a joke so don’t always take things too seriously!
Even if they don’t speak English most enjoy communicating in any way possible, whether that’s with hand gestures or drawings.
You’ll certainly have no problem communicating with the locals.

WEATHER IN VIETNAM
We are visiting four very different climates on our adventure. Late March is the beginning of Spring and as the country approaches summer the weather begins to warm up.

Hanoi: Hanoi is lovely during March with high temperatures in the mid-20º’s and lows in the high teens. There is little rain, but it can be humid. March is the best time to explore Hanoi.

Ha Long Bay: With warming but not yet sticky-hot temperatures and relatively low humidity March is a great time to explore Ha Long Bay. Daytime temperatures are in the low to mid 20º’s. The mornings can still be misty for magical photos.

Hue: In Hue temperatures sit in the mid to high 20’s. Hue is hot and dry in March/April with temperatures around 30º.

Hoi An: Like Hue, Hoi An is sunny and dry in early April with temperatures up to low 30ºs and low humidity. it’s perfect for sightseeing or beach-time

DRESS
Vietnam dresses more conservatively than the western world. On the whole there are few restrictions on tourists but it is respectful to the Vietnamese people to dress with consideration. When visiting temples, pagodas, other places of worship or ‘sacred sites’ dress code is clear and strict – no shorts, sleeveless tops or short dresses.
It is expected you remove your shoes on entering a building. Slip-on footwear is easy to manage if you are moving in and out of many different places.

WHAT TO TAKE
You will receive a full list of what you need to have with you for the Event along with recommendations regarding clothing and equipment well before departure to give you plenty of time to get organised.

MEALS

The Vietnamese love their food and pour their heart into preparations that tantalise your taste buds. You can be sure all meals will be delicious.
